As the Lead designer, I worked on a two-part redesign, full-site replatform, and ADA remediation for Charlotte Russe. This was the redesign of the PDP.
With over a thousand products featured on the site, the Product Page template is the most used out of any other used on the site. It was important to test and improve the experience. Through user testing, we learned our customers were struggling using the call-to-action and adding an item to their bag. The main problem was how the “Add to Bag” button was functioning and the user did not understand they had not yet selected a size. There was a popup that anchored from the bag that told them to “select all options”.
Solution: Rename the button “Select a Size” and have it flip to “Add to Bag”, once the size had been selected. If the size had not yet be selected once clicked, the page would reposition to show the sizes and give them an error message saying they needed to select a size.
